DANVILLE- Norrita Frances Hurley, 86, died Friday, June 14, 2024 at her residence.
She was born Sept. 16, 1937 in Danville to the late Charles C. and Lucille A. (Nommay) Colopy. She was a 1955 graduate of Danville High School. She married Gary J. Hurley Sr. on July 26, 1958, who preceded her in death on April 1, 2015. She was a member of St. Luke Catholic Church.
Norrita’s life was dedicated to her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, with whom she loved to spend time, especially on vacation. She also enjoyed her home and could usually be found there either putting together one of her 1,000-pice puzzles, outside working & mowing, or just sitting on the front porch enjoying her view.
Norrita is survived by her children, Kelly (Dan) Burwell of Mansfield, Gary Hurley, Jr. of Tallmadge, Lisa (Troy) Rodeniser of Utica, Mary Margaret (Bryan) Funkhouser of Timnath, CO, and Jason Hurley of Edwards, CO; eleven grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Jacqueline Shackle, Lawrence Colopy, Charles Colopy Jr., and Kathleen Durbin.
A funeral mass will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 17, 2024 at St. Luke Catholic Church in Danville, with Father James Colopy & Father Homer Blubaugh officiating. For those unable to attend, a live stream of the mass will be available at service time on this page. Burial will follow in St. Luke Cemetery. Visitation is from 9:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. prior to service time at the church. Fischer Funeral Home in Danville is handling arrangements.
