PLAINFIELD -– Opal June Gillespie, 92, passed away on Sunday March 19, 2017.
June was born August 17, 1924 in Washington, PA to the late David I. and Bessie J. Sefton. On April 30, 1947, she married the late Charles A. Gillespie. She was a member of both the Meadow Lands and Plainfield United Methodist Churches.
Surviving are her daughter, Patricia A. (Ronald) Phillips of Plainfield, and her son, Charles A. Gillespie, Jr. of Selinsgrove, PA.
She was predeceased by her daughter, Theresa G. Kerby, son-in-law, Ronald E. Kerby, two brothers, and two sisters.
At June’s request, there was no viewing, and private interment is taking place at Oak Spring Cemetery in Canonsburg, PA.
