COSHOCTON- Olive Marie (Preston) Bender, 93, died Saturday, Jan. 23, 2016 at the Walnut Grove Health & Rehabilitation Center, where she was a resident.
She was born Jan. 8, 1923 in Coshocton Co. to the late Walter and Daisy (Morton) Preston. She married John R. Bender on April 26, 1947, who preceded her in death on Oct. 25, 1990. She was a member of the Clark Township Baptist Church, where she formerly served as treasurer of their missionary society. She loved meeting people and good conversation, doing farm work at the family farm, and her dog, “Sara”.
She is survived by two sons; Steve (Linda) Bender of Warsaw, and Robert Bender of Coshocton, and a granddaughter, Stephanie Bender.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Cecil Preston.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 27, 2016 at the Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw with Pastor Sonny Easterday officiating. Burial will follow in Blissfield Cemetery. Calling hours are from 4-6 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 26th at the funeral home. www.fischerfuneralhome.com
