CAMBRIDGE- Oveta Rae Urey, 72, died Tuesday, Nov. 22, 2016 at Astoria Place of Cambridge, where she was a resident.
She was born Sept. 25, 1944 in Coshocton County to the late Carl and Margaret Jane (Shaneman) Laflin. She married George W. Urey on July 17, 1966, who preceded her in death on Dec. 18, 1993. She enjoyed bowling, Bingo, and playing horseshoes.
She is survived by a daughter, Becky (Paul) Blackwell of Dover; a son, George H. (Darlene) Urey of Cambridge; two grandchildren, Brandon (Heather) Clipner of Byesville, and Kendall Urey of Cambridge; and several nieces & nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Junior, Don, and Oliver Laflin; and a sister, Leota LaFever.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, Nov. 25, 2016 at Valley View Cemetery with Pastor Ron Davis officiating.
