Patty A. Groseclose

Danville – Patty A. Groseclose, 85, passed away Thursday January 22, 2015 , at the Country Court Nursing Home in Mount Vernon.

She was born on January 8, 1930 in Howard to William A. and Bernice (Shackle) White. She was a 1947 graduate of Danville High School, and married John R. Groseclose on October 11, 1947. She showed crafts with him in many festivals and fairs for over 25 years. She also enjoyed square dancing at the Martinsburg Community Center, and deer hunting.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, sisters; Bertha and J. Kay Banbury, and a brother, William White.

She is survived by three children; John A. Groseclose of Howard, Lee Ann McManis of Mt. Vernon, and James D. Groseclose of Mt. Vernon, grandchildren; Shawn Groseclose, Patty L. Kuntz, Marty Groseclose, Kirk McManis, and Daniel Rousseau, six great-grandchildren, a brother, Harold White of Utica, a sister-in-law, Juanita Groseclose, and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at noon on Monday January 26, at the Fischer Funeral Home in Danville. Jason Postle will officiate. Burial will follow in Mt. Vernon Memorial Gardens. Calling hours will be from 3-6 on Sunday.
