DANVILLE - Paul W. Pugnea, of 25980 Neil Road, joined his family in heaven on September 7, 2011.

A beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend to many, he was born in Cleveland on December 17, 1955.
He enjoyed being outdoors, often hunting and fishing and catching up with friends who enjoyed the same activities. He worked for years as an iron worker and was a member of the Iron Workers Union throughout that time. Additionally, he volunteered to help others with his hunting passion, supporting the Physically Challenged Bowhunters of America and encouraging others to enjoy the outdoors.

He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Marika Pugnea of Danville; daughter Karina (Nick) Patterson of Columbus; grandson Kaleb Patterson; brother John (Lynn) Pugnea of Medina; nephews David (Kerry) Lehrke of Denver, CO; and Larry Lehrke of Seattle, WA; parents Walter & Ann Pugnea of North Royalton, brother Nick and sister Carol, and many friends in the Danville community.

He will join his loving daughters Reyna and Triana Pugnea in heaven, who died in a traffic accident that occurred August 1, 2001. He was also preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Maya Borostyan, and father-in-law, Imre Borostyan.

Calling hours will be at Fischer Funeral Home in Danville from 5- 7:00 p.m. on Monday, September 12, 2011. A funeral ceremony will begin at 6:30. The Rev. F. Richard Snoke will officiate. Interment will be held at a later date in Workman Cemetery.
