Brinkhaven - Paul Austin Strouse, 79, passed away Sunday February 26, 2012 at the Country Court Nursing Home following a long illness.
Paul was born May 26, 1932 in Coshocton County to the late Noble G. and Alice A. (Patterson) Strouse. He retired from Kokosing Construction after 25 years of service. He was known for his wonderful sense of humor and being a fun, loving person who enjoyed being around his family. He also enjoyed working in his garden, doing yard work, deer hunting, and family gatherings.
He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years; Mary Alice (Logston) Fronsman-Strouse, four daughters; Elaine Davis of Danville, Linda (Bill) Samples of Danville, Joy (Kenny) Addair of Howard, and Sandy (Andy) Franks of Mount Vernon, a son; Dave (Marie) Strouse of Brinkhaven, grandchildren; Michelle (Ronnie) McCain, Robert (Tiffany) Davis, Matthew (Sara) Samples, Tyrel (Jenny) Samples, James (Joni) Grennell, Joshua and Jacob Grennell, Katie and Grant Addair, and Jolisha Stouse, great grandchildren; Hunter, Ronnie Jr., Emily, Chloe, Austin, Landen, Brayden, Taylor, Isabella, James, Zayne, Maycee, and Will, a sister; Pauline Mackey of Killbuck, a brother; Calvin Strouse of Mansfield, and several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister; Eva Sapp, and brothers; Alvie, Raymond, Floyd, Bernard, Ervin, and Art Strouse.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday February 29, 2012 at the Fischer Funeral Home in Danville. Pastor Don Hosier will officiate. Burial will follow in Tiverton Cemetery on SR 206. Friends and family may call Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. and until service time Wednesday. www.fischerfuneralhome.com
