Phyllis E. (Bertsche) Knuth

COSHOCTON- Phyllis E. (Bertsche) Knuth, 96, passed away Tuesday, December 21, 2021 at Altercare of Coshocton.

She was the daughter of the late Dr.’s Christopher A. and Ella J. (Munson) Bertsche of Crestline. She graduated from Crestline High School and the United States Nurse Corp of WWII at Fairview Hospital School of Nursing in Cleveland (1943-1947). She was a member of the Nellie United Methodist Church.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David C. Knuth; a daughter, Jo Ann Knuth; a sister, V. Joan Spoerl-Shell; a brother, Ross; and a niece, Amy Francis.

Phyllis is survived by a daughter, Sandra R. Knuth of The Villages, FL; a granddog, “Riley”; and five nieces.

There will be no services. The Fischer Funeral Home is assisting with burial of cremated remains, and condolences may be posted at the funeral home website, www.fischerfuneralhome.com
