Priscilla Ann Buckland, 70, of Quaker City and formerly of the Beckett House at New Concord, died Monday (April 19, 2010) at the Morrison House, Zanesville.
She was born January 8, 1940 in Akron, daughter of the late Henry Hunt and Margaret (Schweiergt) Hunt.
She married Willie P. Buckland on May 8, 1971.
Priscilla was a member of the Quaker City Church of Christ. She was a 1959 graduate of Old Washington High School.
She was a loving mother & grandmother. She enjoyed gardening and raising her own flowers. She loved crocheting and had made many afghans throughout the years. In fact, she was noted for making the American Flag afghan. She loved cooking and spending time with her family. She had a passion for feeding the birds. She also sold Friendly Home Products for many years.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Willie, who died in February of 1996.
She is survived by a son, Patrick V. (& Brenda) Foraker of Quaker City; two daughters, Deborah A. Hicks of Ashland and Melinda S. (& Lloyd) Roe of Quaker City; two step-sons, Kevin (& Pertain) Buckland of Columbus and Ed (& Paula) Buckland of Danville; a step-daughter, Debbie (& Mike) Miller of Ashland; a brother, James White of Akron; a sister, Rose Ann (& Darrell) Adams of Akron; several foster brothers and foster sisters; nine grandchildren and seven step-grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren and five step-great-grandchildren.
Family and friends may call on Wednesday (April 21, 2010) from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Quaker City.
Visitation will also be held on Thursday from 12 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Fischer Funeral Home, Danville, where services will follow at 1:30 p.m. with Evang. Dick Harris officiating.
Burial will be at Workman Cemetery, Danville.
