BRINKHAVEN - Ruth Jane McClain, 82, died March 2, 2014 at MedCentral in Mansfield.
She was born Feb. 2, 1932 in Mount Vernon to the late Charles and Gertrude (Black) Smith.
She was a homemaker and a past member of the Brinkhaven Church of Christ.
She is survived by two daughters, Bonnie (Ron) Wallace of Danville and Nora Brooks of Brinkhaven. Three sons, John (Deb) McClain of Brinkhaven, Ed McClain of Danville, and Richard McClain of Mount Vernon. A son-in-law, Danny Ash of Millwood. 14 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. Two sisters, Irene Bowman of Brinkhaven and Ann Martin of Mount Vernon. A brother, William Smith of Danville and a sister-in-law, Lilah McClain of Louisianna.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles McClain, a daughter, Molley Sue Ash, and 8 siblings.
A funeral service will be held Thursday, March 6, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the Fischer Funeral Home in Danville with Dave Jones officiating. Burial will be in the Workman Cemetery. Visitation is Wednesday, March 5, 2014 from 6-8 p.m. www.fischerfuneralhome.com
