MARTINSBURG - Ralph Ray Chapman, 86, of S. Market St. died Wednesday, Aug. 14, 2013 at The Laurels in Mount Vernon.
He was born March 17, 1927 in Holmes County to the late Granville W. and Bertha (Norris) Chapman.
He was a truck driver and a handyman.
Ralph is survived by his children, Mary Ann White, Irene Donahue, Sondra Dee, Charlotte Rae, Alma Marie Harris, Roxann Smith, Jinni Bilinda Chapman, Ellen Louise Fife, and Paul Chapman. His brothers & sisters, Robert (Bonnie) Chapman, Henry (Ginnie) Chapman, Kenneth (Sun) Chapman, Lulu Belle (Dick) Snyder, Dorothy Seitz, Goldie Rauch, and Matilda Neighbarger. A grandson whom he helped raise, G. W. Chapman, and many other grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Thelma (Stull) Chapman. A daughter, Koreen Faye, a granddaughter, Ruth Ann Donahue, & four brothers, George, Elmer, Norman, & Harry Chapman.
A private graveside service will be held at the Amity Cemetery at a later date. The Fischer Funeral Home in Danville is handling the arrangements. www.fischerfuneralhome.com
