COSHOCTON - Richard Scott (Rick) Bible, 49, of 324 N 13th Street went home to be with Jesus for HIS special day on December 24, 2008 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus after a valiant battle with his illness.
He was born April 2, 1959 in Coshocton to Richard David and Zera (Burris) Bible. Rick was a truck driver. A U.S. Navy veteran. A 1978 graduate of Garaway High School and graduated from COTC with an Associates Degree. He was a member of the Coshocton Browns Backers, Moose Lodge, Masonic Lodge, and The First Church of the Nazerene. He will be sadly missed by all.
He is survived by his loving wife, Ronda (Bowles) Bible whom he married July 4, 2007. Also surviving is his mother, Zera Bible of West Lafayette. A daughter, Raina Bible of Breman. A step daughter, Amanda Whitson of Coshocton. A brother, Ryan (Paige) Bible of Seattle, WA. Two sisters, Renee (Wayne) Neuciler of Polk City, FL and Rita (Wade) Corder of Coshocton. Nephews, Clayton (Sheanell) Corder, Jared, Shane, & Nathan Holmes.
He was preceded in death by his father. Funeral services will be held Monday, December 29, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. at The First Church of the Nazerene 1058 Orange Street Coshocton with Pastors Richard King and Bill Jones officiating. Burial will be in the Coshocton County Memory Gardens with graveside military services conducted by the Coshocton County Veterans Council. Visitation is from 12-2 PM at the church on Monday.
