Howard - Richard "Dick" Lewis Cly, 59, of Apple Valley, died Friday January 9, 2009 at his residence.
He was born January 29, 1949 in Mount Vernon to George Walter and Betty Jean (Beach) Cly. He was a member of the Millwood Church of Christ and the Mount Vernon Post of the American Legion, and a Vietnam veteran of the U.S. Army.
He is survived by a son; Richard W. Cly, and a daughter; Amy Cly, both of Columbus, sisters; Helen (Donnie) Truex of Apple Valley, Jeannie (Randy) Frazee of Walhonding, and Mary (Jack) Holland of Arizona, and granddaughters; Maysun and Mackenzie of Columbus.
He was preceded in death by his parents. George Walter Cly died October 1, 2000, and Betty Jean Cly died December 27, 2006.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Monday January 12, 2009 at the Millwood Church of Christ. Evangelist Dave Jones will officiate. Burial will be in Workman Cemetery in Danville. Calling hours will be from 2-4 at the church on Sunday.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorial donations be made to Hospice of Knox County; 17700 Coshocton Rd., Mount Vernon, 43050. The Fischer Funeral Home in Danville is handling arrangements.
