HOWARD- Richard C. Hunter, 84, died Thursday, April 7, 2016 at Florida Hospital South in Orlando, FL.
He was born Feb. 16, 1932 in Martinsburg to the late Lloyd C. and Dovie Lucille (VanWinkle) Hunter. He was a former school teacher, school board member for East Knox School District, scout master for the Boy Scouts of America, and Little League coach in Howard. He enjoyed anything and everything to do with cars.
He is survived by a son, Rick Hunter (Annette) of Kennesaw, GA; a daughter, Julie Fowler-Herring (Patty Herring) of Westerville; two grandsons, Ricky Hunter of Atlanta, GA, and Nick Hunter of Jacksonville, FL; a sister, Ruby Frazee of Howard; three nephews, Dick Frazee (Pat) of Howard, Mike Frazee of Howard, and Roger Frazee (Emma) of Warsaw; a niece, Nancy Mawer of Howard; and many grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 16, 2016 at the Howard United Methodist Church with Rev. Lee Cubie officiating. Visitation is one hour prior to service time.
