WOOSTER- Rita Irene Sampsel, 51, of Beal Ave., died Tuesday Nov. 12, 2013 at her residence.
She was born Oct. 2, 1962 in Mansfield to the late Lula Mae (Brightwell) and Robert Lewis Shepard, Sr. She was a good hearted high spirited person, loved the outdoors, and enjoyed camping and spending time with her grandchildren and family. She loved to play Bingo! She enjoyed playing cards with her husband, and their road trips to the casino in West Virginia.
She is survived by her husband, Gerald Sampsel of Wooster, whom she married Sept. 15, 2012, a sister, Renee (Larry) Craft of Portsmouth, a brother, Robert Shepard, Jr. of Mansfield, sons, James (Laura) Shepard of Bellville, Steven Smith of Lexington, Joshua Smith of Mansfield, Ryan Smith of Mansfield, and Paul (Kenetta) Sampsel of Wooster, a daughter, Penny (John) Mayes of Lucas, and several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday Nov. 15, 2013 at Killbuck Cemetery with Pastor Angel Jackson officiating. The Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw is handling arrangements. www.fischerfuneral home.com
