Robert "Bob" Laughlin

       WARSAW- Robert Neal Laughlin, 76, died Thursday, July 16, 2026 at The Ohio Eastern Star Home in Mt. Vernon.

       He was born April 15, 1950 in Mt. Vernon to the late Lawrence Russell and Marion Ruth (Bomar) Laughlin. He was a 1968 graduate of River View High School, and a member of Prairie Chapel Methodist Church. He married Diane (Foster) Laughlin on March 18, 1977. She preceded him in death April 18, 2021.

       Bob was a devoted husband, loving father, and loyal friend whose warmth, humor, and gift for storytelling left a lasting impression on everyone he met. He had a way of making people laugh and bringing friends together, whether at the gun range, on the water with his fishing buddies, or simply sharing a good story. An avid outdoorsman, Bob loved hunting, fishing, and caring for his farm. He will be remembered for his generous heart, contagious laugh, unwavering love for his family, and the countless memories he created with those who knew him.

       He is survived by his sons, Shawn Laughlin (Jennifer Mercz) of Spring, TX, and Brian Hennen of Coshocton; and a grandson, Bear Mercz.
