FRESNO- Robert Lewis James, 80, of TR 175, went to the Lord on Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2011 at the Coshocton Co. Memorial Hospital.
He was born Dec. 9, 1930 in Beckley, WV to the late William Ludlow and Amanda Elfreda (Breitfield) James. "Grandpa" James loved the Ridgewood Generals and spent many Friday nights at the football field. He also loved building decks and wooden furniture for his family and friends. He worked for 34 years at Pretty Products before his retirement. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids.
He is survived by his children; Belinda (Verl) Marlatt of Coshocton, Dreama (Mike Steele) Lawrence of Coshocton, Robin (Ken Wagner) Swoveland of Warsaw, and Robert "Bobby" (Marilyn Davis) James of Wills Creek, his grandchildren; Jason (Megan) Lawrence, Chad (Whitney) Marlatt, Jeremiah (Stephanie) Savage, Amanda (Travis) Smith, Chasta (Brandon Bair) James, Amy Davis, Kayla (Alex Stuchul) James, Brandy (Cale Hepner) Swoveland, Jimmy Davis, and Heather Swoveland, his great-grandchildren; Nick, Jaycie, Kamryn, Mycah, Preston, Briar, Kira, Wyatt, Audrina, Reagan, Ella, and Dexter, his former wife, Anna James, and special friends; Dean & Jackie Poole and Marley & David Sindelar.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by six siblings, and a friend, Dean Poole II.
A graveside service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 19, 2011 at Coshocton Co. Memory Gardens with Rev. Don Dolick officiating. Graveside military rites will be conducted by the Coshocton Co. Joint Veterans Council. The Fischer Funeral in Warsaw is handling arrangements. www.fischerfuneralhome.com
