Gambier - Robert Morey, 85, died Wednesday January 11, 2012 at the Knox Community Hospital.
He was born March 5, 1926 in Mount Vernon to Carl and Hattie (Elkins) Morey. He was a member of the Howard United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife; Kathryn L. (Conkle) Morey, his children; William L. (Cheryl) Morey, James L. (Judy) Morey, and Janet K. Fisher, 9 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and sisters; Alfreda (Richard) Bond, Helen (Bill) Weaver, Shirley (Sherman) Tomes, and Linda (Larry) Tomes.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and sisters; Margaret (C. Edward) Zimmerman, and Nancy (Donald) Morehouse.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday January 16, 2012 at the Howard United Methodist Church. Pastor Lee Cubie will officiate. Burial will follow in Valley Cemetery near Howard. Calling will be one hour prior to the service.
