COSHOCTON- Ruth Avanell "Nell" (Cantrell) Hill, 87, a resident of Autumn Health Care at Coshocton County Memorial Hospital, and formerly of Warsaw, died Friday, Jan. 7, 2011 at the care center.
She was born July 9, 1923 in Johnson County, Kentucky to the late Charles Roy and Martha America (Coffee) Cantrell. She married Rev. Robert Hill on Oct. 3, 1942, who preceded her in death on Nov. 5, 2010. She was a loving housewife and cared deeply for her family.
She is survived by a daughter, Sherry S. (Rick) Cullison of Warsaw, a son, Charles E. (Janine) Hill of Parrish, FL, five grandchildren; Kris (Johnny) Ringwalt of Warsaw, Suzanna (Doug) Bennett of Coshocton, Thad J. (Brandy) Cullison of Grove City, Robert N. (Lindy) Cullison of Shreveport, LA, and Reagan Schepps of Parrish, FL, eight great-grandchildren; Ryan Ringwalt, Taylor Triplett, Abbey Bennett, Colton, Iann, & Regan Cullison, and Jeremy & Ryder Cullison, two sisters; Dorothy Wilson and Martha "Jeri" Bemus of Coshocton, and two brothers; Wendall (Rita) Cantrell of New Mexico, and Melvin (Janet) Cantrell of Coshocton.
In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by a son, Larry Hill, five sisters; Rurie & Lurie Cantrell, Eileen Hilton, Velma "Lee" Pierce, and Imogene Guthrie, and two brothers; Paul E. Cantrell & Charles R. Cantrell, Jr.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, Jan. 10, 2011 at the Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw with Pastor Tim Thomas officiating. Interment will follow in Valley View Cemetery. Calling hours are from 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
