Ruth A. Reed

       WARSAW- Ruth Ann (Swartz) Reed, 85, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by the love of family on Thursday, April 9, 2026, after a long illness.

       She was born May 9, 1940 in Warsaw to the late Russell W. and Beatrice I. (Bender) Swartz. She was the beloved wife of Paul D. Reed, with whom she shared a devoted and lasting marriage. They would have celebrated their 70th Wedding Anniversary on July 8th.

       She was a loving mother of their three children, Leann (Jim) Hoy, Lori (Henry) Cottrill, and Doug (Lisa) Reed. She was a proud grandmother and great-grandmother. All of her Grands brought her immense joy.

       In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two stillborn sons; and her sisters, Reva Gamertsfelder, Helen Hartsock, & Bonnie McVay.

       Ruth will be remembered for her strength, her quiet resilience, and deep lover for family, friends, and our Lord!

       A memorial service will take place 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 25, 2026 at Gospel Hill Ministry, 27610 TR 45 Warsaw, 43844, with Pastor Jerry Sexton officiating. Visitation is one hour prior to service time at the church. Burial will take place at a later date in Blissfield Cemetery. Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw is handling arrangements.
