COSHOCTON- Sara Raye (Kanuckle) Neace, 77, of Clow Lane, died Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2015 at Select Specialty Hospital in Columbus.
She was born July 3, 1937 in Coshocton to the late Wilbur “Joe” and Cynthia Angelia (Shannon) Kanuckle. She was a 1955 graduate of Warsaw High School. She married Christopher Neace on Oct. 15, 1960, who preceded her in death on Aug. 24, 1981. She loved spending time with her family, traveling, was an avid country & western music concertgoer.
She is survived by a daughter, Christine Sycks of Nellie, two sons; Kelly (Carol) Neace of Pierceton, IN, and Ray (Alice) Neace of Columbus. She was a loving grandmother to Joel & Kimberly Sycks, Olivia & Alexis Neace, Mayci, Jake, Sam, Megan, & Jackie Schlichter, Tristen, Jarred, & Justin Giesey, and five great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a sister, Jean (Hugh) Lawrence of Keene, as well as a circle of close friends.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Rachel Neace.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 31, 2015 at the Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw with Rev. Joe Sanders officiating. Burial will follow in Darling Run Cemetery. Visitation is one hour prior to service time at the funeral home on Saturday. www.fischerfuneralhome.com
