St. Louisville – Sharon A. (Drake) Meehan, 68, died Saturday April 19, 2014 at Licking Memorial Hospital.
She was born on October 5, 1945 to Bill and Dorothy (Rinebolt) Drake. She was a dispatcher with the Licking County Sherriff’s Office for many years, and owned and operated John Michael’s Tavern in Danville for more than 15 years. She also belonged to the Ladies’ Auxiliary of the American Legion Post #85.
Sharon is survived by her brothers; Reggie Drake of Howard, Ronnie Drake of Millwood, and Robert (Christie) Drake of Wooster, and her neighbor and close friend, May McCoy of St. Louisville.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, John Michael Meehan, a daughter, Kristina R. Meehan, brothers; Larry and Randall S. Drake, and sisters-in-law; Wilma and Thelma Drake.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday April 24, at the Fischer Funeral Home in Danville. Pastor Ron Davis will officiate. Burial will follow in Workman Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. www.fischerfuneralhome.com
