Shirley (Baldridge) Slone

Mount Vernon - Shirley Jean (Baldridge) Slone, age 74, passed away peacefully at home with her family on February 16, 2026.

She was born June 12, 1951. She was the daughter of Claude Clayton and Ida (Forest) Baldridge, who both preceded her in death along with her sisters, Elsie and Norma, and brothers, Harlan, Junior, Marvin, Duke, and Tony. 

She was married to Danny Slone, who survives, as well as her children, Mindi, Sherrie, Jeremy, and James, and her grandchildren; and sisters, Hazel Coleman of McAllen, TX, Sharon (Wayne) Eikleberry of Nashville, TN, and Kathy (George) Williams of McAllen, TX. 

Shirley loved Danny so much. She also loved the Lord, and had God’s wisdom. She loved her flowers, whether she was working in a flower bed, or she just received them from someone. She enjoyed collecting pretties and antiquing, and she couldn’t get enough time with her kids and grandkids. She would go to great lengths just to spend time with them. They were her heart. and she loved her sisters and brothers. They held a special place with her. She loved to laugh and have fun. She had a love for life!
