Jacksonville, FL - Shirley H. Wander, 88, passed away peacefully on July 26, 2011.
She was born in Toronto, Ontario Canada and was a long time resident of Venice, Florida. Shirley was a volunteer with the Venice Hospital for over 15 years and was a member of the Venice Yacht Club for over 30 years.
Shirley is survived by two sons, James, 59 (Laurie), Ronald, 50 (Jan), a step-son, Larry, 73 (Marge); a daughter-in-law, Florence, 5 grandsons, Jason, Keith, Adam, Benjamin, Matthew, 4 granddaughters, Kimberly, Jessica, Meagan, Ashley, 1 step-grandson, Larry, 1 great grandson, Caleb, 1 great granddaughter, Katherine.
Shirley will be dearly missed by her family in Canada, her sister Joan, nieces Anne and Nancy (Bob), and nephews Murray (Elisha) and John (Sharron).
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald, son, Stephen, and step-son, Michael.
Memorial Services will be held at the Fischer Funeral Home in Danville, Ohio, at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday August 13, 2011. The Rev. Mary Murtha will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Her final resting place will be next to her husband Ronald, in the Workman Cemetery in Danville, Ohio.
