Newark - Shirley Ann Wilson, 79, formerly of Danville, went to rest peacefully Sunday October 27, 2013 at Kindred Healthcare in Newark.
She was born April 28, 1934 in Knox County to John and Olive (Stull) Baker. She married Zane G. Wilson on October 22, 1955. They were both former members of the St. Luke Catholic Church in Danville.
Shirley is survived by her husband, Zane Wilson of Newark, sons; Zane Wilson II of Granville, John J. (Stacey) Wilson of Granville, and Carl Scott (Lisa) Wilson of Virginia, grandchildren; Amanda (Chris) McMillen, Tatum Maddux, Evan Maddux, Natalie Wilson, Ryan Andrews, and Trey Wilson, and a great granddaughter, Kensley McMillen.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and a very special aunt and uncle, Carl and Nana Strouse.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday October 31 at the Fischer Funeral Home in Danville. Father Victor Wesolowski will officiate. Burial will be in Workman Cemetery. Calling hours will be from 6-8 on Wednesday with a prayer service at 7:45.
