Danville- Sindy S. McMillan, 67, of 28818 Flat Run Rd., died Wednesday, December 03, 2008 at her residence.
She was born Dec. 4, 1941 in Zanesville to Walter Albert and Hazel May (Smithley) Styers. She married William L. McMillan on June 20, 1981, whom preceded her in death on Nov. 7, 2004. She owned her own business as a hair dresser for 38 years. She was a member of the Millwood Presbyterian Church, Grange, and the Ladies American Legion. She enjoyed cooking, helping out on the farm, loved her garden, and flowers. She enjoyed learning about the history of Knox County, and she loved her dog, "Lucy".
She is survived by her son, Phillip (Melissa Rowe) McMillan of Danville, two granddaughters; Alisha Kay McMillan and Lisa Marie McMillan, both of Fredericktown, two step-grandchildren; Sidney Rachel Rowe and Cody Allen Tone, three sisters; Shiela Stotts of Dresden, Mary Pletcher and Virginia Millward, both of Zanesville, and one brother, Earl Smithley of Dresden.
In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by her parents, and a sister, Sharon Ann Smithley.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, December 6, 2008 at the Fischer Funeral Home in Danville. Burial will follow in Workman Cemetery. Calling hours are from 5-7 p.m. on Friday.
