WARSAW- Stephanie Danielle Rice, 19, of 29750 TR 338, died Monday Dec. 10, 2012 at Akron Children's Hospital.
She was born Sept. 28, 1993 in Millersburg to Terry and Susan (Miller) Rice. She was a 2012 graduate of River View High School. She had a great passion and love for music. She also loved life, and spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her parents, Terry & Susan Rice of Warsaw, three brothers; Chad (Jennie Smith) Long, and Toby (Christina Lyons) Rice, both of Millersburg, and Stephen Rice of Warsaw, a sister, Miranda (Nicholas) Meyers of Hopkinsville, KY, a grandfather, Jerry Rice, and a grandmother, Norma Miller, both of Millersburg, four uncles; Homer (Mandy) Rice of Mansfield, Mike (Sheri) Miller of Millersburg, Gary Rice of Shreve, and Richard (Sue) Rice of Millersburg, an aunt, Elizabeth Butler of Millersburg, several nieces, nephews, and cousins, and many, many friends.
She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Atlee Miller, and her grandmother, Emma Rice.
Stephanie's family requests that those attending services at the funeral home come dressed casual and in green colors. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday Dec. 15, 2012 at the Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw with Rev. Matthew Tweddle officiating. Burial will follow at Spring Mountain Cemetery. Stephanie's family would like thank all the staff of the 5600 floor Oncology unit at Akron Children's Hospital, from the doctors and nurses to the housekeeping staff and the Ronald McDonald House staff, for the love and care they have shown over the last five years.
