Howard – Steven J. Boucher, 71, passed away Tuesday, May 21, 2024, at the Knox Community Hospital.
Steve was born in Mount Vernon on June 6, 1952. He was the son of Marcel Boucher and Josephine Ewers. He worked for many years at Worthington Steel before retiring as a supervisor with AMG Industries. He was a member of the St. Luke Catholic Church in Danville. Steve enjoyed playing softball and golfing, and was an avid Ohio State and Cincinnati Bengals fan. He also enjoyed making cornhole boards in his free time.
Steve was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Dixie (Miller) Boucher; his step mother, Mary Boucher; his children, Shannon (Kevin) Ford, Shane (Marie) Mosher, Brian Boucher, Stephanie Cramer, Steve Boucher, and Chad Dzierwa; his siblings, Jeff (Norma) Boucher, Michael Boucher, Mark (Nina) Boucher, Sue (Loren) Reed, Dawn (Bruce) Giehl, Michelle (Jack) Hamilton, Jaki (Jim) Amore, and Mary Beth Brumfield; 16 grandchildren, many great grandchildren, and his buddy and companion “Boomer”.
A funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 Tuesday, May 28, at the St. Luke Church, 307 N. Market St. Danville, 43014. Father Mark Hammond will officiate. Private interment will be at a later date. Viewing will take place at the church from 9:30 until 10:45.
The family would like to thank Dr. Rasheed and the KCH staff for their care. Memorial donations are suggested to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at stjude.org. The Fischer Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
