HOWARD- Steven Douglas Workman, age 69, passed away peacefully Wednesday, November 6, 2024 surrounded by his family after a brief illness.
He was born on June 28, 1955 to the late Ed and JoAnn (Ronk) Workman. Steve was a beloved son, husband, father, and friend, known for his unwavering faith and deep commitment to his family.
A 1973 graduate of Danville High School, Steve went on to earn his bachelor’s degree from The Ohio State University and a Master of Business Administration from Ashland University. He spent the majority of his career as the purchasing manager at The Wooster Brush Company. Outside of work, Steve was an active member of Parkview Christian Church (Wooster) and Lifepoint Church (Mount Vernon). His hobbies included boating, spending time on the family farm, and cherishing quality moments with family.
He is survived by his wife, Melody (Wilkin) Workman, whom he married on November 3, 1979. They enjoyed 45 years of marriage. Steve is also survived by daughters Audrey (Tim) Lombardo of Howard, and Morgan (Mark) Reece of Harrison Township, Michigan; one brother, Michael (Paula) Workman of Granville; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 9, 2024, at Lifepoint Church (705 South Division St. Mount Vernon, OH 43050). The family will greet friends and family at 10:00 a.m., with the service following at 11:00 a.m.
