DANVILLE - Thomas J. Adelsberger, 92, of Danville, died Friday, March 6, 2015 at Whispering Hills Care Center in Mount Vernon.
He was born September 28, 1922 in Paint Township, Madison County to the late Edgar and Loretta (Fath) Adelsberger, Sr.
On October 4, 1947 he married Mary Alice (Hammond) Adelsberger, who preceded him in death on October 21, 2005. He was a lifelong member of the St. Luke Catholic Church in Danville; Knights of Columbus Council #910, was a WW II veteran serving in the US Army; and retired from the Mt. Vernon Continental Can Corporation.
He is survived by his son, Lundy (Kay) Adelsberger of Howard; two grandchildren, Dawn (Tim) Bernard of Canandaigua, NY and Ryan Adelsberger of Columbus; and three great granddaughters, Hannah and Sarah Bernard, and Aireanna Adelsberger; two sisters, Martha (Art) Edelblute, and Lucille (Leonard) Herr; and sister-in-law, Peggy Adelsberger.
In addition to his parents and wife, Tom was preceded in death by his brothers, Robert and Edgar Adelsberger, and sister, Margaret Ann McKitrick.
Funeral mass will be held Tuesday, March 10, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the St. Luke Catholic Church, 307 S. Market St., Danville, OH 43014. Visitation is one hour prior to the mass on Tuesday at the church. The Rev. Homer Blubaugh will officiate, with burial at St. Luke Cemetery.
