Mount Vernon – Tina L. (Taylor) Brown, 64, passed away at Altercare of Newark on Tuesday April 29, 2025.
She was born in Maysville, KY on August 3, 1960. She was the daughter of William Larry and Jacqueline Sue (Yarber) Taylor. Tina was an LPN for over 30 years, including working as a traveling nurse. She was a free spirit who enjoyed traveling, including her trip to Alaska, and going to concerts and festivals. She also loved animals, even raising some ducks.
She is survived by her husband, Bruce Brown; daughter, Marissa (Logan) Jarrells of Mount Vernon; sons, David (Nicole) Ready of Pickerington, and James (Tiffany) Ready New Bern, NC; grandchildren, Riley, Olivia, and Liam Ready, Sebastian, Maryelle, Jude, Josephine, Leo, and Francesca Ready, Lucy and Remington Dorsey, and Wyatt Brown; step-children, Shane, Brittany, and Taylor Brown; sister, Kim Taylor Rowe; brother, Jeff Taylor, and nephew, Benjamin Jacobs.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and nephews, Thomas and Eric Jacobs.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 17, at 11:00 a.m. at the Fischer Funeral Home in Danville. Donations can be made in Tina’s name to The Sanctuary, sanctuarycommunityaction.org, to help with the Senior Meals, Women's Health Clinics, and other community coordinated programs.
