Twila B. (Ferenbaugh) Colopy

Danville – Twila B. (Ferenbaugh) Colopy, 91, passed away at home on Friday December 27, 2024.

She was born on September 6, 1933 in Knox County to the late Glenn D. and Ferol M. (Payne) Ferenbaugh. Twila married Richard D. Colopy on November 28, 1951. Together, they operated their family dairy farm for over 60 years, and she continued to support their grandsons in operating the farm. She was also employed by Therm-O-Disc in Mansfield for two years, and Swendal Turkey Farm in Danville for six years.  Twila spent much of her retirement years spending time with family and babysitting for her great grandchildren. She always enjoyed working in her garden and flower beds. She was a member of the St. Luke Catholic Church in Danville.

Twila is survived by her daughter, Donna (Doug) Beckley of Walhonding; daughter-in-law, Michelle (Bill) Colopy Lake of Danville; grandchildren, Mike (Amy) Colopy, Kristin (Matt) Proper, and Eric Colopy all of Danville, Ashley (Timothy) Clutter of Gambier, and Nick (Jessi Stout) Beckley of Walhonding; great grandchildren, Ella, Carson, and Parker Proper, Makayla (Bryant) Blubaugh, Blake, and Easton Colopy, Emma, Sarah, and Leah Clutter, and Carly and Violet Beckley, great-great grandchildren, Arya, Emma, and Presley Blubaugh; sisters, Kay Weyhmeller of Bellville, Helen Grassbaugh of Mount Vernon, and Carol (Bill) Grassbaugh of Glenmont; brothers, Glenn Jr. (Martha) of Howard, and Albert (Denise) and Gerald of Danville.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Clarence R. Colopy; her husband, Dick; sisters, Rosalie Boyce, Marilla Thorpe, and Lucy Greer; and brothers, Clyde, Ed, Rodney, and Robert Ferenbaugh.

Friends and family may visit at the Fischer Funeral Home in Danville Friday, January 3, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., when a funeral service will take place. Father Homer Blubaugh will be officiating. Burial will follow in St. Luke Cemetery.
