Violet M. Kaylor
DANVILLE - Violet Marie Kaylor, 97, of Danville-Jelloway Road died July 21, 2009 at her residence.
She was born Feb. 16, 1912 in Glenmont to the late Otto Clarence and Ona Dell (Kaylor) Temple.
She was a homemaker and a cook at the former Morning View Nursing Home. She was a member of the Danville United Methodist Church and the WCTU. She enjoyed cooking, quilting, reading, gardening, researching geneology, and her family.
She is survived by a son, Ralph Kaylor of Danville. Two daughters, Ruth Shock of Milwaukee, WI and Rosalie (Brian) Vaughn of Kent. Two grandsons, Ben Shock of Milwaukee, WI and Jeff (Kelley) Shock of Pewaukee, WI. A granddaughter, Angela Staton of Tennessee. A great grandson, Christopher Staton of Tennessee. A brother, Harry E. (Virginia) Temple of Glenmont.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Rene M. Kaylor, whom she married Nov. 21, 1945, he died Dec. 27, 1978. She was also preceded in death by two son-in-laws, Stephen Shock and Ballard Staton and a grandson-in-law, Joseph Flint.
There will be no calling hours. Graveside services will be held Friday, July 24, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. at the Workman Cemetery in Danville with Pastor Jason Humble officiating. A time of food and fellowship will be held at the Danville American Legion Hall immediately following the graveside service.
