Virginia Geiselman

March 20, 1918 — May 25, 2012

WALHONDING- Zelda Virginia Geiselman, 94, of SR 206, died Friday May 25, 2012 at the Aultman Compassionate Care Center in Canton.

She was born March 20, 1918 in Carroll Co. to the late Homer and Mary (Eckley) Clark. She married Wayne A. Geiselman on Dec. 25, 1945, who preceded her in death on April 30, 1993. She was a member of the Branch United Methodist Church, the Women's Christian Temperance Union, and the Tunnel Hill/Walhonding Valley Grange. She was a 4-H advisor for many years, and she enjoyed flower gardening, feeding and watching birds, and reading. She had a very sharp mind, even at the age of 94. She was well-known for her hand-written cards and letters she sent to family and friends, some if she even met them only once.


She is survived by a son, Lynn A. (Min) Geiselman of Warsaw, a daughter, Peg (Bill) Bumpus of Walhonding, four grandchildren; Ryan and Soyeon Geiselman of Warsaw, Doug Bumpus of Centerburg, and Jen Bumpus (fiancAC. Chris Clayton) of Gambier, a sister, Marian Cocos of Minerva, two sisters-in-law; Theda Schneider of Alliance, and Lucille Clark of Minerva, and two brothers-in-law; Robert Geiselman and Richard (Shirley) Geiselman, both of Minerva.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers; Roy & Robert Clark, and two sisters; Bea White & Jeanne Clark.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday June 1, 2012 at the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home, 206 East Lincoln Way, Minerva, OH 44657, with Rev. Coralee Cox officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Minerva. Calling hours are from 5-8 p.m. Thursday May 31st at the Fischer Funeral Home, 412 E.
