Coshocton- Wade Ledonis Hawthorne, 84, a resident of the Coshocton Health and Rehab Center died Thursday, Aug. 6, 2009 at the care center.
He was born May 27, 1925 in Nellie to the late John Raymond and Oneita Doris (Elder) Hawthorne. He was a 1943 graduate of Roscoe School, served in the Coast Guard during WWII, and served 35 years in the U.S. Postal Service. He was a member of the V.F.W., AmVets, and the Moose Lodge.
He is survived by a daughter, Pamela Pastor, and grandchildren; Carmen C. Pastor and Kendal G. Pastor, all of Durango, CO, and a sister, Beverly J. Hawthorne of Coshocton.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and brothers; Duane "Skunky" Hawthorne and Kenneth R. Hawthorne.
A graveside service will take place at a later date. The Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw is handling arrangments.
