WARSAW- Wilbur Shoults, Jr., 82, of CR 22, died Monday July 2, 2012 at Licking Memorial Hospital in Newark.
He was born May 16, 1930 in Licking Co. to the late Wilbur and Kathryn (Hupp) Shoults, Sr. He was the owner and operator of the Racine Drilling Co. for many years. He was a former member of the V.F.W. He liked to build many things, but especially birdhouses. He enjoyed collecting knives, and hunting in his younger years, and watching westerns on television. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife of fifty-eight years, Shirley (Rine) Shoults of Warsaw, who he married June 25, 1954. Also surviving are six children; James Shoults & Donald Shoults of Logan, Robert (Mildred) Shoults of Warsaw, Diana (David) Dalton of Rockbridge, Steve Shoults of Warsaw, and Earl Eugene Shoults of Danville, twelve grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and step-grandchildren, three sisters; Mary (Bob) Reed, Debra (Bob) Buker, and Rose Manning, all of Coshocton, three brothers; Earnel (Sandy) Shoults of Bladensburg, Dean (Sue) Shoults of Warsaw, and Gary Shoults of Coshocton, and his loving dog, "Jack".
He was preceded in death by his parents, four sisters; Bonnie Daily, Shirley Pelton, Lucille Hoberg, and an infant sister, five brothers; Gene, Ed, John, and Gerald Shoults, and an infant brother, and a daughter-in-law, Betsy Shoults.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday July 6, 2012 at the Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw. Burial will follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery near Bladensburg. Visitation is two hours prior to service time. www.fischerfuneralhome.com
