Warsaw- Willard Ferral Baird, 76, of 23123 TR 61, died Thursday, September 18, 2008 at Regency Hospital in Columbus.
He was born July 27, 1932 in Frankfurt, OH to Everette and Lulu (Acton) Baird. He married Sharon (Zimmerman) Baird on Nov. 20, 1982, whom survives. He drove delivery trucks for the Kroger Corp. for over 35 years. He was a life-member of the N.R.A., and a member of the former Columbus Bird Club. He had a passion for raising canaries and other birds. He also loved to hunt, fish, and spend time with his family.
In addition to his wife, Sharon Baird of Warsaw, he is also survived by two sons; Richard Baird of Fayetteville, OH, and Daniel Baird of Charleston, WV, a daughter, Debbie (Bill) Buxton of Coshocton, three grandsons; Nick Buxton of Nellie, Cody and Noah Baird of Charleston, WV, and two brothers; Harlan (Ann) Baird of Washington Court House, and Wayne (Marsha) Baird of Washington Court House.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 23, 2008 at the Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw with Bishop Owen Miller officiating. Burial will follow at approximately 3:30 p.m. at Brown's Chapel Cemetery in Clarksburg, OH. Calling hours are from 6-8 p.m. Monday, and until service time on Tuesday.
