COSHOCTON- William Carl Goerz, Sr., 67, passed away from cancer Oct. 25, 2017 at home with his wife and son at his side.
Bill was born April 13, 1950 in Cleveland to the late Frederick & Marion (Christensen) Goerz. He served in the US Army during Vietnam. In 1980, he married Wanda Patterson. He was the owner of B&B Poured Walls and Bloomfield Welding. He retired from Voith Hydro. He was a member of the Millersburg Masonic Lodge, and Killbuck V.F.W. Post #7079.
He is survived by his wife, Wanda Goerz; a son, William Goerz, Jr.; a sister, Jane (Pete) Cibulskas of Olmsted Twp; a brother, Fred (Deborah) Goerz of Dayton; brothers-in-law, Gerald Patterson & Benny (Louise) Patterson of Clark; sisters-in-law, Nancy (Jerry) Brenly of Baltic and Kathy (Rex) Ward of Millersburg; as well as several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Brett Owen Goerz; his mother-in-law & father-in-law, Wells & Edna Patterson; and two brothers-in-law, Bob & Dennis Patterson.
Per Bill’s wishes, cremation will take place and a graveside service will be held at Clark Cemetery at a later date. The Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw is handling arrangements. www.fischerfuneralhome.com
