William "Bill" Lake

Danville – William F. Lake, Jr. 71, passed away at home on Saturday January 11, 2025.

He was born November 17, 1953 in Newark to William and Dorothy (Garrard) Lake. Bill served in the United States Marine Corps and was a lifetime member of the AMVETS. He enjoyed riding his Harley, fishing and boating with his friends on Lake Erie, and he loved cooking for and feeding everyone, especially his grandchildren

Bill is survived by his wife, Michelle Colopy Lake;  his step-children, Mike (Amy) Colopy, Kristen (Matt) Proper, and Eric Colopy; his grandkids, Ella, Carson, and Parker Proper, Makayla (Bryant) Blubaugh, Blake, and Easton Colopy; brothers, Terry Lake, Ricky Lake (Heather Wolfe), Paul (Diana) Lake, Charles Lake, and Brian (Sarah) Lake; sister, Deborah (Francis) Kvintus, Sr.; and his sister by heart, Jennifer Konstanzer. He was preceded in death by his parents

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 25, at noon at the Fischer Funeral Home in Danville. Visitation will be an hour prior to the service.
