Brinkhaven - Wilma Zimmerman, 95, died Thursday May 12, 2011 at the Knox Community Hospital.
She was born June 6, 1915 in Cavallo to Sara E. (Hunt) and Charles Thatcher. On September 16, 1933, she was married to Elsworth P. Zimmerman. She was a member of the Ohio Eastern Star Chapter #303, was a cook in the Danville school for 14 years, and was postmaster of the Brinkhaven Post Office for over 20 years.
She is survived by two daughters; Norma Jean (Richard) Laughrey of Brinkhaven, and Elizabeth Jane Loney of Howard, a brother; Charles Jack Thatcher of Brinkhaven, a sister; Helen Crill of Butler, 8 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and 10 great-great grandchildren. Also surviving are several nieces & nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, and a son; Stephen Paul Zimmerman.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday May 14, 2011, at the Fischer Funeral Home in Danville. Gene Lilly will officiate. Burial will follow in Workman Cemetery in Danville. There will be no calling hours.
