NEWARK- Zane Grey Wilson, 82, formerly of Danville, went to rest peacefully Monday, January 12, 2015 at Kindred Healthcare in Newark.
He was born Sept. 18, 1932 in Logan Co., WV to the late Roy and Grace (White) Wilson. He served in the US Air Force from 1951-1955, and was a former employee of Cooper Bessemer in Mt. Vernon. He married Shirley Ann (Baker) Wilson on Oct. 22, 1955, who preceded him in death on Oct. 27, 2013.
He is survived by three sons; Zane Wilson II of Granville, John J. (Stacey) Wilson of Granville, and Carl Scott (Lisa) Wilson of Virginia, grandchildren; Amanda (Chris) McMillen, Tatum (Tim) Adam, Evan Maddux, Natalie Wilson, Ryan Andrews, and Trey Wilson, a great granddaughter, Kensley McMillen, and a brother, Troy Wilson of Loudonville.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers; Jack & Kenneth Wilson, two sisters; Helen Strouse and Blanche Brecheisen, and a very special aunt and uncle, Carl and Nana Strouse.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Jan. 16, 2015 at the Fischer Funeral Home in Danville with Father Homer Blubaugh officiating. Burial will follow at Workman Cemetery, with graveside military rites performed by the Knox Co. Joint Veterans Council Honor Guard.
