WARSAW- Barbara Jean Emerson, 80, died Sunday, Sept. 4, 2022 at her residence.
She was born April 3, 1942 in Coshocton to the late Samuel and Marjorie (Clark) Wise. She was a wonderful homemaker and loved to cook and bake for family and friends. Spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren was the most important thing to her and she loved them all so much. She was a member of the Warsaw Nazarene Church.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Richard Emerson of Warsaw, whom she married May 25, 1961; children, Richard Emerson Jr. of Newark, Teresa (Brad) Corbett of Westerville; grandchildren, Lindsey (Joe) Gutman, Cassandra (DJ) Smith, and Noah & Emma Corbett; great-grandchildren, Ian & Logan Gutman, and Lincoln & Sullivan Smith; a sister, Pat (Jim) Howell of Pataskala; a brother, Larry (Marjorie) Wise of Coshocton; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Carrie Emerson; and her father-in-law & mother-in-Law, Maro & Gwendolyn Emerson.
Visitation begins at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 9, 2022 at the Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Faith Taylor officiating. Burial will take place in Valley View Cemetery. www.fischerfuneralhome.com
