Coshocton – Camilla C. Donley, 91, passed away on Friday September 29, 2023 at Altercare of Coshocton.
She was born in Coshocton on May 2, 1932 to the late John and Helen A. (Mills) Donley. Camilla went away to attend the Ohio State School for the Blind in Columbus at the tender age of 6, only getting home on holidays and during the summers by train. She had a three wheeled bike that she rode all around Nellie, and she loved listening to talk books, birds, music, and singing in the Central Christian Church choir and the Warsaw Lions Club Minstrel Show. She enjoyed rocking her nieces and nephews to sleep, and proudly bragging about the fact that she had her own teeth.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Shrimplin; two brothers, Earl & John Donley, a half-sister Nancy (Donley) Gilbert, and a niece Deborah Shrimplin.
She is survived by many nieces and nephews, Patrick and Earl Donley Jr., Pam Addy, Abbe Donley, Holly Tarman, and Scott Shrimplin; great nieces and nephews, Billy Jo, Matthew, Trudy, Luke, and Dirk Jr., several great-great-nieces and nephews, and one great-great-great niece, Jenny, and lots of cousins.
A funeral service will take place at 1:00 Friday, October 6, at the Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw. Rev. Stewart Royce will officiate. Burial will follow in Valley View Cemetery, SR 60 Warsaw. Visitation will be an hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, consider planting a tree, or making a donation to the Coshocton County District Library towards audio books, 655 Main St. Coshocton, 43812.
