WARSAW- Carl James McCurdy, 84, died Wednesday, Oct. 27, 2021 at The Oaks at Northpointe in Zanesville, where he had resided for the last three years.

He was a sports fan, and followed the Ohio State Buckeyes. He also attended the Nellie United Methodist Church.

Family was very important to Carl, and he enjoyed spending as much time as he could with his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and most of all the love of his life.

He is survived by his wife, Rhetta Jean (Speckman) McCurdy of Warsaw, whom he married April 11, 1959; two sons, Kevin (Teresa) McCurdy and Keith (Kisha) McCurdy, both of Coshocton; grandchildren, Jason (Angie), Jamie (Jodi), Jenny (Josh), Clint (Sarah), Ashley (Andrew), Seth, Dylan, Kylie, Eland (Britney), and Braeden; great-grandchildren, Jayla, Javen, Jace, Jersey, Jaze, Jaylynn, Macy, Kendrick, Adeline, and Penelope; a special niece, Shirley (Lee) Johnson, and nephew, David (Betty) Fawcett.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Wilma Fawcett and Helen Hardesty.
