Danville – Charles E. “Chuck” Blubaugh, 76, passed away on March 20, 2022 at the Louis Stokes Cleveland VA Medical Center.
Chuck was born in Mount Vernon on November 1, 1945. He was the son of the late Dorothy Mary (Blanchard) and Edward Cosmas Blubaugh. He graduated from Danville High School in 1963 and served in the U.S Air Force from 1963 to 1966. He was a member of the St. Luke Catholic Church in Danville and was an avid outdoorsman and loved wildlife. He was a hunter, a fisher, and a very accomplished photographer.
He is survived by two sisters; Cora (Francis) Durbin of Howard, and Beatrice Blubaugh of Loudonville, four brothers; Joe (Gerly) of St. Louis, MO, Bill (Karen) of Windsor, CO, Ben (Sharon) of Loudonville, and Dave (Della) Blubaugh of Lima, and many nieces and nephews.
Along with his mother and father, he was preceded in death by sisters; Rebecca Marie Blubaugh and Lucy Pauline Ryan, and nephews; Craig Blubaugh and Paul Ryan.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Monday, March 28, at 11:00 a.m. at the St. Luke Church, Danville. Father Homer Blubaugh will officiate. Burial, with military rites by the Knox County Veterans Council Honor Guard, will follow in St. Luke Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church from 1-4 Sunday afternoon.
