Loudonville – Daniel Sheasby, 89, formerly of Mount Vernon, passed away Monday April 6, 2020 at McMullen Assisted Care.
Dan was born May 31, 1930 to the late William H. and Fannie E. (Flecknoe) Sheasby. On December 14, 1948, he married Vonetta Landis, who preceded him in death on April 9, 2015. He was a member of the Danville Church of Christ, and a Veteran of the U.S. Air Force, serving from 1948-1950.
In addition to his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by sisters, Mary E. Miekle, Phyllis Baldeschwiler, and Doris Smith and brothers, William and Lloyd Sheasby.
He is survived by his sons, Daniel C. Sheasby of Sante Fe, NM, and Kevin L. (Brenda) Sheasby of Ashland, grandsons, Chris Sheasby of Westminster, MD, Nathan Sheasby of Atlanta, GA, and Nik Sheasby of Nashville, TN, a great grandson, Noah, and a great granddaughter, Ella.
A private graveside service will be held at Quarry Chapel Cemetery on Friday April 10 at 2:00 p.m. Pastor Gary Kochheiser will officiate. Video of the service will be available at the Fischer Funeral Home – Danville Facebook page. A Celebration of Life service will be scheduled at a later date.
