Edith E. Laughlin

                CANAL LEWISVILLE- Edith Eleanor (Hoberg) Laughlin, 90, passed away Sunday, Aug. 13, 2023 at the Genesis Hospice Morrison House in Zanesville.

                She was born Dec. 20, 1932 in Coshocton to the late Russell and Esther (Tish) Hoberg. She married Loren W. Laughlin on Nov. 8, 1952, who preceded her in death Aug. 24, 2001.  She retired from the former Ansell-Edmont company after 26 years working there.

                Edith was a Pink Lady for many years at the former Coshocton Co. Memorial Hospital. She enjoyed walking, especially at Kids America, and bowling in her younger years. She loved going to church at Gospel Hill, where she attended for over 20 years.

                She is survived by her children, Dave (Ann) Laughlin of Canal Lewisville, Sharon (Bill) Sampsel of Warsaw, and Carol (Tom) Wolfe of Coshocton; her grandchildren, Tracy Haines (Monty Young), Michelle (Gary) Fischer, Brian Chapman, Shane (Kristina) Pew, Tonya (David) Torres, Jonathon Atwood, Kayla Chapman (Jesse Wright), Dale Freed, and Christy Miller; sixteen great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; three half-sisters, Patricia Murray, Gloria Murray, and Julie (Jeff) Dobbins; two half-brothers, Robert Hough, and Roger Hough; a sister-in-law, Jill Hoberg; and several nieces & nephews.

                In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Judith Chapman; grandson, W. Joshua Sampsel; great-grandson, Evan Wright; brother, Carl Hoberg; half-brother, John Hough; and half-sister, Janet Crossley.

                Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday, Aug. 18, 2023 at Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw, with Pastor Ron Davis officiating. Burial will follow at Coshocton Co. Memory Gardens. Visitation is one hour prior to service time at the funeral home. www.fischerfuneralhome.com
