WARSAW - Evelyn Margaret "Susie" Hoy, 69, of Warsaw, died peacefully at her residence after a long illness with cancer, surrounded by her family, on Jan. 10, 2011.
She was born Dec. 22, 1941 in Akron to the late Donald and Bertha Sophia (Beuhler) Huffman.
She was employed at Pretty Products in Coshocton for 10 years and for over 15 years at Union School as a cook. She was a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses. She loved her pets and enjoyed mowing her yard.
She is survived by her husband, John W. Hoy, Jr., who she married April 10, 1965. Also surviving is her son, John W. (Tamara) Hoy III of Lorain, 4 brothers; Ronald (Jo) Huffman of Seville, Art (Ruth) Huffman of Vermillon, John (Kathy) Rowe and Jake Rowe of Warsaw, a sister, Christy Guilliams of Warsaw, her mother-in-law, Maxine Hoy of Warsaw, a sister-in-law, Carol Fortney of Coshocton, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Donald Huffman and Bertha & John Rowe, and a sister, Chloe Kopocs.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. The Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw is handling the arrangements.
