BRINKHAVEN- Gail "Wally" William Wallace, 59, of TR 7, died Wednesday, May 11, 2011 at his residence.
He was born March 3, 1952 in Mt. Vernon to the late Edwin L. and Violet B. (Donaldson) Wallace. He married Gloria DeHaven (Lane) Wallace on Aug. 19, 1979, who survives. He was a fabricator for Gerstenslagers of Wooster for 33 years. He was a co-founder of circle track mini-truck racing at Hilltop, Lorain, Sandusky, Midvale, and Lakeville Motor Speedways, and also raced modifieds at Muskingum Speedway. He attended Spring Mountain Chapel.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by eight children; Gail William "Bill" (Ashley) Wallace, Sharon Marie "Sherri" Lenart, Timothy Alan (Sandy) Wallace, Heidi Lorene (Doug) Miller, Winifred DeHaven "Wendy" (Scott) Brown, Leona Jane (Ben) Brannon, Jamie Dawn (Lloyd) Schlauch, and Brandy Lynn (Galen Lenard) Burns, twenty-three grandchildren; Everett, Madison, Dominic, & Abigail Wallace, Emma & Wayne Lenart, Falicity Wallace,Timothy Preibe, Janie Lyons, Kianna Kramer, and Rose Miller, Nikkita & Tyler Brown, Logan, Rebekah, Riley, & Megan Brannon, Vincent Schlauch, Jozifien & Raven Burns, and Cory, Cody, & Casey Brown, two great-grandchildren; Kalicia Brown and Jerrod Grant, Jr., nine siblings; Mary Jean Cayton, Alice Maxine (John) Grandstaff, Robert Burl (Susie) Wallace, Jack Edwin Wallace, Glenn Allen Wallace, Clara Bell (Robert) Clippinger, Carol Ann (Daryl) Martin,Betty Ellen (Jeff) Lorentz, and Violet Rose Jenkins.
He was preceded in death by three siblings; Wilma Marie Cutright-Vance, Louis Virgil Wallace, and Calvin Henry (Joanne) Wallace.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, May 16, 2011 at the Fischer Funeral Home in Danville with Rev. Jim Large officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Holmes Co. Calling hours are from 1-3 p.m. on Sunday, May 15th at the funeral home.
