Danville - On Tuesday, September 21, 2021, Gene Autry Watts III “Bucky”, loving son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, and uncle, passed away unexpectedly at the age of 38.
He was born January 17, 1983, and was raised by his mother Elana Cothern, and two fathers Mark Cothern and Gene Autry Watts II. Preceding him in death, maternal grandparents Opal and Frank Williams, grandfathers Ernie Kuhel, Carl Slaughter, and Ernest Yawn; uncle Mike Slaughter and son Zachery Slaughter.
He is survived by his mother Elana (Slaughter) Cothern, father Gene Autry Watts II, father Mark Cothern; his siblings, Cassi Watts, Hannah and Curtis Chester, and Nathan Fox and Loring Buhler; Nephews Gavyn Lepley, Ethan Fox, and Clayton Toney; Niece Tegan Chester; and his grandmothers Wanda Kuhel, and Shirley Yawn. He is also survived by his girlfriend, Kelly Ferenbaugh, and her son, Timmy; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Bucky was charismatic, funny, caring, and didn’t know a stranger. He enjoyed watching the Browns, fishing, flipping cars, and spending time with his family and friends.
Even though Bucky was taken too soon, he lived a life surrounded by people who loved him dearly and he was a believer in God. His infectious smile, and his kind and compassionate spirit will truly be missed by his family and friends.
A viewing will take place at the Fischer Funeral Home, 403 High St. Danville. Visitors are invited to come between 5:00 and 7:00 pm Monday, September 27. A celebration of life will follow at 29221 Chestnut Ridge Rd. Danville.
